Director of Finance

Hire Up Recruiting is partnering with a privately owned, multi-site education startup to find their first finance hire.

The VP of Finance will build and run the finance function as the company grows into a larger platform. This is a hands-on role, partnering directly with ownership on operations, strategy, and growth, with a path to CFO as the platform scales.

• Operational finance — AP, AR, payroll, and cash management
• FP&A and reporting for investors and lenders
• Acquisition analysis, diligence, and post-close integration
• Building finance controls, systems, and processes

$150K base + bonus + meaningful equity

• Self-starter who takes ownership without waiting for direction
• Loves getting in the weeds and solving problems
• Excited to work at a startup pace, not a corporate 9-5
• 2-6 years in financial management, transactions, or operations: investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or finance at a growing operating company
• Acquisition analysis and diligence experience
• Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in a fast-paced environment without established processes
• Strong leadership, communication, and execution skills

• Post-close integration experience
• Operational finance, FP&A, and cash management
• Multi-site or high-growth business background
