Senior Finance Leadership Opportunity | US & Canada

I’m currently supporting a leading global life sciences organisation in the search for a Finance Legal Entity Responsible - US & Canada.

This is a senior controllership role with responsibility for the financial integrity, compliance and governance of multiple US and Canadian legal entities.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Overseeing financial reporting and period-end close activities
• Reviewing Balance Sheet and P&L performance
• Managing complex and non-routine accounting transactions
• Ensuring compliance with US and local GAAP requirements
• Leading statutory, regulatory and audit activities
• Coordinating tax compliance and transfer pricing requirements
• Working closely with Treasury on liquidity, funding and capital movements
• Owning the Internal Control System and related governance
• Supporting finance transformation, standardisation and automation initiatives
• Partnering with Tax, Legal, Treasury, Controlling, Shared Services and senior business stakeholders

What we're looking for:

• 10+ years of experience in finance, accounting or controllership
• Strong experience within a multinational / international organisation
• Solid US GAAP and financial reporting experience
• Proven experience with legal entities, statutory reporting, audit and internal controls
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience with SAP or another major ERP system
• Ability to operate independently and influence senior stakeholders
