Public Information Officer - Toms River Township
The Township of Toms River is accepting applications for the full-time position of Public Information Officer. This vital role is responsible for keeping the public informed through media relations, press releases, digital content, and event coverage. The PIO will report directly to the Business Administrator and work closely with the Mayor. A bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or public relations is preferred, along with municipal experience.
Salary range: $80,886.72-$, based on qualifications and experience. Must hold a valid driver's license.
- Managing the Township website and social media
- Attending public events
- Drafting speeches and releases
- Maintaining communication with all media outlets
