Pay Range:$18.64 - $26.32 per hour

Job Overview:The Wound Care Center clerical coordinator will serve as a liaison between the patient and family, all physicians involved in that patient's care, internal and external healthcare providers, support network members, and the wider healthcare community.
Qualifications:Required:
- High School Diploma / GED Required
- Minimum of two or more years of office administration experience, preferably in a healthcare/medical setting
Preferred:
- Prior medical coding experience preferred.

Scheduling Requirements:- Full Time Day
- Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM
- Schedules wound care and HBO patients utilizing EPIC EMR system.
- Books appointments appropriately based on time, staffing, equipment and supplies.
- Cross references will be made to physicians' credentials for specialty and delineation of privileges and approved procedures for the wound care center
- Confirms all registration information with the patient or their representative
- Monitors missed visits and perform and requisite follow up
- Verify specific insurance benefits and obtain pre-authorization for wound care procedures and HBO
- Responsible for answering the telephone in a timely and courteous manner. Returns all voicemail messages by the end of each business day
- Takes ownership of the reception area. Address customer service issues and patient complaints
- Coordinates with Wound Care and HBO Center leadership to maximize daily patient census.
- Actively participates in staff meetings to support key functions within the wound care center.
- Greets patients and other visitors, answers and routes telephone calls to appropriate staff.
- Maintains all patient communication needs including scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment reminders.
- Serves as an interdepartmental liaison within the departments of the hospital to assist in coordinating patient care as needed.
- Arranges for patient transportation as needed.
- Maintains office equipment and supplies as needed, and medical supplies as directed by Nursing and Regional Directors.

- Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory education; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as a preceptor, mentor and resource to
