RWJ Barnabas Health is looking for an excellent individual for our Assistant Vice President role overseeing the Heart and Vascular Services at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ.
Qualifications- A Master's Degree in healthcare, business, or management is required.
- At least 3-5 years of knowledge/experience in principles of management, accounting, problem solving.
- At least 3-5 years of progressive operational experience in key ancillary and/or support service areas within healthcare.
- At least 2 years' experience working with hospital based cardiovascular, thoracic, pulmonary, or vascular programs preferred.
- Responsibility for operational activities and leadership for hospital-based Heart and Vascular and Lung Health services at Community Medical Center under the direction of the corporate Heart and Vascular Service Line Leadership, system Lung Health Leadership, and local hospital leaders.
- These responsibilities include planning, organizing, developing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the activities and resources (human, material, and capital) necessary for quality patient care, efficient operations, and stringent regulatory compliance.
- The AVP, Heart and Vascular Services is the key executive leader across the inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular programs including Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, and Pulmonology.
- The AVP, Heart and Vascular Services has P&L and operational oversight of the hospital-based Cardiovascular Services including the catheterization lab, electrophysiology lab, cardiac imaging, vascular lab, and ambulatory cardiac services across the service line.
- As a hospital executive, will develop and maintain strong professional relationships with our community and employed medical staff and partner with our hospital leadership to grow the volume and improve the quality of the service line.
- As a member of the senior leadership team, the AVP, Heart and Vascular Services participates in the Administrator on Call (AOC) coverage schedule.
- Direct hospital areas of responsibility include the following departments:
- Catheterization Lab
- Cath/Neuro Holding Area
- Noninvasive Cardiac Lab
- Cardiac Rehabilitation
- Outpatient Hospital Based Cardiovascular Testing center
