Department: Lab CMC
Status: Part-Time
Shift: Day
Pay Range: $37.37 - $49.00 per hour
Job Summary / Essential Functions- Performs and interprets routine diagnostic assays on blood and body fluids.
- Performs all duties related to the preparation, identification, and testing of specimens.
- Performs all related documentation tasks.
- Provides technical guidance to non-certified staff, new employees, and students.
- Performs additional tasks as requested.
- Has education and experience equivalent to the guidelines mandated by CMS in the Clinical Lab Improvement Act (CLIA) of 1988 and NJSDH requirements.
- Bachelor’s in medical technology or Associate with qualifying bachelor level coursework and certification by a Category 1 agency such as ASCP, NCA, AMT, HIS/HEW.
- Blood Bank experience highly preferred.
