The Safety Care Associate is a Patient Care Associate with experience working with dual‑diagnosis patients. The primary focus is ensuring the safe milieu of the unit. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: conducting mandatory Q15 patient safety checks, environmental safety rounds, 1:1 patient safety watches, assisting with group facilitation, and searching and logging patient belongings. Under the direct supervision of the unit director or designee, the Safety Care Associate will assist with providing direct patient care and reinforcing Safety Together core values, implementing safety initiatives, and participating as a member of the Workplace Violence committee.

Required:

• High School graduate or GED
• Minimum one‑year of experience
• Successful completion of orientation, mandatory education and trainings

Preferred:

• CADC
• Experience working in a behavioral health setting
• Previous experience as a Home Health Aide, Nurse Aide, Patient Care Associate, or Patient Care Technician
• Knowledge and experience working with substance‑abuse disorders and dually diagnosed population

• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association

• Day shift

• Every other weekend required
