Working closely with the Assistant Club Manager of Merchandise, the Assistant Night Manager ensures merchandise is properly stocked, presentation standards are upheld, and a positive member experience is maintained. The role oversees overnight execution and performance of merchandise department tasks, directs the work of the overnight team, and serves as Manager on Duty when needed.

Maintain club standards by delivering GOLD Standards consistently, contributing to club goals, and supporting performance and profitability through efficient, accurate task completion.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities- Lead overnight merchandising execution and coordinate staffing, training, and task execution.
- Support operational readiness by setting up displays, moving pallets, and resetting sales floors to prepare for morning operations.
- Maintain merchandise presentation and availability; ensure correct signage and inventory levels.
- Execute company directives—corporate plans, resets, and sales initiatives—on time and with high quality.
- Identify opportunities to enhance sales through merchandising strategy recommendations.
- Oversee maintenance and safe operation of overnight equipment, including forklifts, refrigeration, and merchandising tools.
- Model and enforce safe equipment usage, perform forklift inspections, and ensure sanitation protocols are followed.
- Drive safety and sanitation compliance, enforce steel and pallet safety checks, and address safety issues promptly.
- Ensure proper execution of inventory controls and audit readiness, including Hot List completion and pallet tag placement.
- Utilize reporting tools—Hot List, NAFS, price sign reports, productivity dashboards—to guide focus and enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with other night managers, department managers, and leadership to align overnight processes with daytime operations.
- Uphold all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements throughout the shift.
- Perform additional duties as assigned and maintain regular, predictable attendance.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Word, MS Excel, Email) required.
- High school diploma, college degree, or experience in big‑box wholesale, retail, grocery, and/or management preferred.
- Forklift operator license required; forklift operating experience preferred.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Open shift availability required.
- Must maintain all training and certifications.
- Frequent movement on hard surfaces and occasional bending, pulling, and reaching.
- Regular lifting up to 30 pounds; occasional heavier lifting with assistance.
- Use of pallet jack to pull/push pallets.
- Exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises in perishable areas.
- Potential exposure to cleaning agents.
Compliant with pay‑transparency requirements, the compensation range for this position is $20.50 – $25.63 per hour, depending on location, education, experience, and qualifications.
