Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Toms River, NJ Salary: $200K-$260K + Equity We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our leadership team and play a pivotal role in launching, growing, and operating the company.
This is a unique opportunity for a proven home care executive who wants to help build a company from the ground up while earning meaningful equity ownership and participating in its long-term success.
The ideal candidate possesses extensive home care industry experience, a deep understanding of state and federal regulations, and a demonstrated track record of building and scaling successful home care operations.

Key Responsibilities:- Build and oversee all operational aspects of the home care agency
- Develop and implement scalable systems, policies, and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, accreditation, and payer requirements
- Lead caregiver recruitment, retention, training, and workforce development initiatives
- Establish quality assurance and performance improvement programs
- Oversee client intake, scheduling, care coordination, and service delivery
- Develop operational budgets and monitor financial performance
- Identify growth opportunities and execute expansion strategies
- Build relationships with referral sources, healthcare providers, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and community partners
- Create and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive accountability and results
- Partner closely with ownership to develop and execute long-term strategic initiatives
- Minimum 5+ years of senior leadership experience in the home care industry
- Proven experience managing operations for a licensed home care agency
- Strong knowledge of home care regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices
- Demonstrated success scaling operations and driving organizational growth
- Experience with caregiver recruitment, retention, scheduling, and workforce management
- Strong financial management and budgeting skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
