Van Pool Transportation LLCWe are seeking an Assistant Operations Manager who will oversee all operational aspects of a multi-service, fast-paced operating environment. This position will manage 50+ drivers, 49+ daily routes, 60+ vehicles, Transportation Coordinators, and Trainers.
About the RoleServe ascontacttothe school districts we serve.
Interview, hire, and train new transportation coordinators/supervisors.
Prepare monthly work schedules.
Maintain appropriate staffing levels for drivers and monitors.
Ensure all employees have proper certifications, training, and licensing.
Oversee the maintenance function at your office and keep our vans in a high state of readiness.
Review and prepare billing each month.
Assist with any other tasks or projects as assigned by Senior Operations Manager or Vice President.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience to positivelyimpactthe lives of children in your community by providing mobility without limits.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in operations management, business administration, or related field.
5+ years of progressive work experience in a work environment that isfast-paced. management of hourly staff, and responsible for managing metrics.
Proficient experience in the use of Microsoft Office
Maintaina good driving record and enjoy working in an environment that is 100% committed to supporting our students
Self-motivated, show initiative and have a strong work ethic.
Must be comfortable with early-morning hours.
Exhibit strong leadership skills and can successfully supervise and direct teams.
Effective customer service and conflict resolution skills.
Must be detail-oriented and like solving problems.
Maintaina very high standard of accuracy and confidentiality.
Safety & Compliance Leadership =demonstrates commitment to safety, compliance & risk reduction; working knowledge of DOT, SPED,etc,
Ability to make sound,timely judgement in fast paced environment.
Ability to communicate effective with direct, respectful feedback/difficult conversations
Technological savvy: ability to quickly learn and master new systems and programs and leverage technology
Ability to manage conflict and model respectful behavior – emulate Beacon values.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
This is an on-site position at our Hudson, MA office
