Packaging Team Lead

Position Summary

The Packaging Team Leader coordinates and leads daily activities on the pharmaceutical packaging floor to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant operations. Provides planning, scheduling, equipment setup/operation oversight, and guidance/training. Acts as backup supervisory capacity in the absence of the Packaging Supervisor to maintain packaging productivity, quality, and adherence to cGMP and safety standards.

• Perform supervisory duties in the absence of the Packaging Supervisor (oversight of cGMP documentation, equipment setup/operation, cleaning, maintenance; direct team; promote safe/compliant environment; manage labor/materials to meet schedules).
• Train employees, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with SOPs and batch record documentation.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Validation to meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Operate/oversee packaging equipment (blister packers, bottle fillers, labelers, cartoners, serialization systems).
• Coordinate workflow across multiple packaging lines and shifts to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 10+ years in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical packaging operations and cGMP requirements.
• Ability to lead, train, and mentor; strong documentation accuracy/attention to detail; excellent communication/interpersonal skills; ability to follow complex instructions.

• Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or regulated industry.
