• Assists the entire outpatient radiology team and multiple modalities with patient care through a variety of diagnostic tests and procedures.
• Obtains IV access.
• Administers medications to aid with the examination.
• Assesses patients using clinical judgement.
• Depending on office location, may be responsible for scheduling biopsies, assisting Radiologists during procedures, and pathology management.
• Performs office related tasks and projects to ensure the efficient, orderly and timely delivery of patient care.
• Ensures communication of patient status and results is provided to all involved members of the healthcare team.
• Demonstrates appropriate level of empathy, understanding and interest in the needs of all patients referred to AMI.
• Functions as a patient advocate and radiologist liaison.
• Performs other duties as required and assigned.

Shift opportunities include day shifts on weekdays. Shift times include 7am-3:30pm and 7:30am-4pm, Monday-Friday. Specific coverage needs are on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; availability on these days is strongly preferred. This position will provide coverage in the AMI offices in Wall, Brick, and Toms River. Schedules and locations may change based on department needs.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a current RN license in the State of New Jersey.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS & ACLS certifications required prior to the start of employment.
• At least three (3) years of professional clinical RN experience.
• Strong IV skills and techniques required.
• Comprehensive understanding of medications to include potential contraindications and side effects.
• Experience in identifying and understanding cardiac rhythms based on the nature of the role.
• Strong computer skills, including EMR experience.
• Able to identify, react, and respond quickly to emergent patient situations.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills with exceptional verbal & written communication skills.
