Pay Range: $22.38 - $27.78 per hour (New Jersey)

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide patient care and support within the Transitional Care Unit. The role involves assisting patients with daily living activities, providing nursing assistance, and contributing to the overall care plan.

The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position. Compensation for the selected candidate will consider education, skills, and professional experience.

• Direct patient caregiver assisting with activities of daily living and providing nursing care.
• Accurately obtain vital signs, weights, and document findings on appropriate tools.
• Assist and prepare patients for procedures/surgery and post‑procedure care as directed by the RN.
• Provide patient care based on physical, educational, safety, and related criteria appropriate to patient age.
• Ensure effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment, and critical actions.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding patient status.
• Participate in collaboration of patient’s plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transition.

• Day shift, 24 hours per week, 6 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Required:

• Certified Nursing Assistant required.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (American Heart Association).

Preferred:

• Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program.
