Clinical Educator Critical Care, Per Diem

Overview

The Clinical Educator Critical Care position supports the Lahey Clinic Professional Practice Model, the MA Nurse Practice Act, ANA Standards of Practice, and the Code of Ethics. The Clinical Educator promotes excellence in nursing practice and serves as a clinical/educational resource for nursing staff.

• Provide expert nursing care to patients and support nursing staff in clinical decision making.
• Act as a clinical educator, facilitating coordination of care across the continuum and promoting safe practice in clinical judgment, patient/family relationships, clinical leadership, and clinical scholarship.
• Maintain current knowledge and skills with technical procedures defined by nursing specialty organizations.
• Comply with all regulatory requirements and maintain an active MA RN license.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across ICU, PCU, and other critical care units to deliver individualized, high‑quality patient care.
• Support family members through comfort and information.

• Neurosciences Critical Care ICU (6‑bed acute ICU)
• Neurosciences Progressive Care Unit (12‑bed progressive care)
• Surgical ICU (24‑bed ICU with 6‑bed CT PACU)
• Medical ICU (12‑bed critical care)
• Coronary Care and Intensive Care ICU (16‑bed critical care)

• Master of Science in Nursing or a related advanced degree preferred; bachelor’s with extensive clinical experience acceptable.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required with an active MA RN license.
• At least 2 years of critical care experience; PCU experience preferred.

$39.25 – $101.17 per hour. Compensation is based on seniority, education, experience, certifications, geographic location, and shift differentials.
