RN - ICU

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) with every other weekend required.

The Critical Care Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Units (ICUs). The nurse will be responsible for managing patients with various complex medical conditions and be prepared to float based on staffing and unit needs.

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and neurological status.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders, including IV medications and blood products.
• Manage ventilators and provide respiratory support as required.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, pharmacists, and therapy services.
• Document patient care and interventions accurately in the electronic health record (Epic).
• Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion and management of arterial lines.

• Minimum of 1.5 years of acute care experience, preferably in critical care settings.
• Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of submission.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and Stroke CEUs.
• Prior charge nurse experience is preferred.
