RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Assistant Director of Patient Care for the PICU I at Community Medical Center. Community Medical Center is a 592-bed, fully accredited acute care hospital offering world-class medical treatment with hometown care. Opened in 1961, CMC has evolved into the state s newest teaching hospital with four residency programs and Ocean County s largest and most active health care facility, serving over 21,500 inpatients, 178,000 outpatients and 73,700 emergency department patients each year.

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current New Jersey RN License.
• At least 2 years acute care nursing experience or 2 years acute care nursing experience with previous management experience.

• Preferred Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or currently matriculating.

• BLS Health Care Provider through American Heart Association
• Additional certifications may be required as per the Administrative Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification Policy

• Night Shift, 40 hours per week

• Manages patient care delivery on an assigned shift.
• Ensure that unit/department/division is in compliance with applicable policies, laws and regulations.
• Ability to pay attention to detail.
• Leadership skills; critical thinking, problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Ambition and desire to positively impact patient care, patient experience and the overall success of the unit.
• Responsibilities include assisting the Director in managing the unit with staff schedules, evaluations, discipline & QI.
