Customer Service Rep, Retail & Store Manager
Pay Range: $16.02 - $20.90
PurposeFloor & Decor strives to be the one-stop destination for our professional clients (PRO customers) in the hard surface flooring contractor space. This position is focused on building relationships with PRO customers, earning their trust, and helping grow their business. The role reports to the PRO Services Manager and supports the execution of Floor & Decor's PRO priorities. Primary responsibilities include understanding trends in the PRO market and collaborating with the Installation Materials and Design Services departments to build a sales organization that serves PRO customers.
MinimumEligibility Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate degree or higher is a plus.
- At least 1 year in retail or wholesale contractor sales, service, supply, and/or professional installation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Salesforce or CRM software is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish or the dominant language in the store trade‑area is a plus.
- Execute the PRO Services Blueprint to the highest levels, creating a world‑class experience for our PRO customers.
- Support the PRO desk in‑store: handle phone calls, manage orders, follow up on orders, provide customer support, and manage escalations.
- Collaborate with the Store Team to identify PROs in our store.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of Floor & Decor products.
- Train and support the Store Team on how to use our selling process.
- Educate PRO customers and expand their participation by understanding our PRO business.
- Offer and assist PROs in signing up for the PRO Premier Rewards Program, downloading and demonstrating the benefits of the PRO APP.
- Promote PRO Credit Solutions such as the Commercial Business Account or PRO Premier Credit Card.
- Coordinate and assist with PRO customer in‑store activities.
- Collaborate in all store initiatives.
- Deliver effective program and benefit presentations.
- Possess excellent customer‑service skills and be results oriented.
- Use strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
- Multi‑task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Occasionally travel to customer and PRO job sites with the Pro Services Manager to present F&D’s benefits and capabilities.
- Perform additional functions, duties, and specific tasks as necessary to achieve assigned business objectives.
Positions are hourly and may include hours that exceed eight hours in a day. Travel up to 20% may be required. The employee may be exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level is typically moderate to noisy. The job requires applying 20–50 pounds of force occasionally, 10–25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly for lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects.
The employee often uses hands and fingers, stands, walks, reaches, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls as part of the job duties.
