Customer Service Liaison (Path to Inside Sales)

Location: Toms River, NJ
Job Type: Full Time
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Salary:$70k -$80kDoE

We are a packaging manufacturer servicing the food industry, currently seeking a dedicated Customer Service Liaison to join our team in the Lakewood area. This role serves as a vital link between our customers, the sales team, and the logistics department to ensure seamless order execution and client satisfaction.

This position is designed for growth. We are looking for a candidate who can master the operational side of our business with the intent that this role will ultimately transition into an Inside Sales position. If you are detail oriented and looking for a clear career path in a stable industry, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the liaison between customers and our internal sales and logistics departments.
  • Manage customer inquiries and orders with a high level of accuracy and professional courtesy.
  • Coordinate scheduling and follow up on shipments to ensure timely delivery to food industry clients.
  • Learn and utilize our CRM and other internal platforms to track customer interactions and order status.
  • Support the sales team by identifying opportunities for account growth as you transition toward inside sales.
Qualifications:
  • Strong computer proficiency; we will provide training on our specific CRM and platforms.
  • Intermediate Excel skills are considered a significant plus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a professional and courteous approach.
  • Elite attention to detail and the ability to manage complex schedules.
  • Proactive follow up skills to ensure no customer need goes unaddressed.
  • A desire to grow into a sales focused role and take on more revenue generating responsibilities.
