The Business Development Director will besuccessdriven,customer oriented andalways seeking new opportunities. This role is a (hunter) position focused on selling contractlogisticssolutions. Adept inidentifyingnew opportunities; developing value proposition; managing the internal bid process and stakeholder relationships; presenting and negotiating; and closing. Ideally, this individual will have an established network in the fast-moving consumer goods vertical.
This will reside preferrably in Port Reading / Newark, New Jersey. Secondarily
- Dallas / Lancaster, Texas.
Relationship Management
- Develop a “trusted advisor” relationship withall relevant stakeholder’sinternally and externally including decision makers.
- Thought leadershipthatthinks outside the box

Minimum Required Qualifications
Education and/or Experience- 3to 5years Contract Logistics experience,demonstrated success in the
contract logistics
industry. - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have experience in building relationships and trust with clients
- Should be well versed in supply chain management
- Should be both sales and operationally inclined – can sell as well as deliver
- Should be familiar with solution selling concepts and methodologies
- Strong consultative selling skills - listening, attention to details, ability to probe and offer insight.
- The ability to sell custom solutions.
- Self- motivated and has a competitive drive.
- Strong organization,communication and decision-making skills.
- Must be a team player wholeveragedthe greater capability of the firm and willing to share best practices with team members.
- The ability to quicklyestablishtrust and build long-term executive level relationships with clients is absolutely critic alto this position.
