Overview

Tooele Motor Company is growing and looking for a motivated, customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our service team. The Automotive Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department.

This role is responsible for greeting customers, understanding vehicle concerns, recommending maintenance and repair services, coordinating technician workflow, and ensuring every customer receives outstanding service from check-in to vehicle delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Greet customers promptly and professionally in the service drive
  • Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
  • Recommend maintenance and repair services based on manufacturer guidelines and vehicle needs
  • Provide estimates for repairs and maintenance services
  • Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding repair status, timelines, and recommendations
  • Coordinate workflow between customers and service technicians
  • Schedule service appointments and manage repair orders
  • Ensure technician time is efficiently scheduled and sold
  • Review completed repairs with customers and explain services performed
  • Handle customer questions and concerns with professionalism and urgency
  • Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the service process
Qualifications
  • Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership software systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Automotive Service Advisor experience
  • Automotive dealership, service center, or repair facility experience
  • Experience with repair order management and service scheduling
  • Sales, hospitality, retail, restaurant, or customer-facing experience
  • Knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair services
  • Experience using dealership management systems (DMS)
