Special Education Teacher - Tooele, Utah

Make a positive impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in a K-3 Life Skills classroom for the  academic year. This full-time, in-person contract role offers the opportunity to be part of a dedicated team, working with elementary-aged learners in a supportive, resource-rich environment. You'll collaborate with fellow educators and staff to encourage growth and achievement for each child, tailoring your approach to meet the needs of your diverse classroom.

• Active Utah Special Education Teacher license or certification required
• Background or interest in elementary-level, K-3 special education and life skills instruction
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs for students with varying abilities
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to fit the needs of each student

• Guide a K-3 Life Skills classroom, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Develop and deliver individualized instruction tailored to student goals and abilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, para educators, and support staff
• Monitor student progress, documenting growth and adjusting plans as needed
• Engage with families, providing regular updates on student development
• Implement effective classroom management and behavioral support strategies
• Participate in school meetings, IEP conferences, and ongoing professional development
