Special Education Teacher in Tooele, UT

This full-time, in-person opportunity offers the chance to work with a dedicated group of students, fostering growth in a supportive environment. The contract runs from late July through May, giving you the chance to see your students progress over the school year.

• Valid Utah Special Education teaching license/certification required
• Experience working with K-3 students and adapting instruction for diverse learners
• Strong commitment to supporting students social, emotional, and academic development
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with colleagues and families
• Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom atmosphere

• Teach and support elementary-aged students in a Life Skills classroom setting
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student success
• Track progress, modify strategies as needed, and maintain thorough documentation
• Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, professional development, and school events
