The contract runs from late July through May, giving you the chance to see your students progress over the school year.
KeyQualifications:
- Valid Utah Special Education teaching license/certification required
- Experience working with K-3 students and adapting instruction for diverse learners
- Strong commitment to supporting students social, emotional, and academic development
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with colleagues and families
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom atmosphere
- Teach and support elementary-aged students in a Life Skills classroom setting
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student success
- Track progress, modify strategies as needed, and maintain thorough documentation
- Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, professional development, and school events
