Academic And Behavior Interventionist
Under the direct supervision of an administrator, assist certified professional staff and administration in aiding students to meet instructional and/or behavioral goals. Also, support administration in providing effective and consistent student discipline by supervising students in alternative learning environments; by creating and implementing academic and behavior support plans; by supporting the building of relationships between staff and students; and by developing and supporting school wide Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS).
Essential Job Functions
- Clerical support to intervention programs.
- Organizes student lists for intervention and delivery of intervention tickets.
- Use the intervention database to create tickets and track student attendance.
- Follow up on student completion of interventions.
- Coordinates with teachers and administrators with the intervention program.
Additional Duties:
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Equipment Use standard office equipment, such as personal computers and copiers.
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- Ability to understand, apply and use personal computers and software applications (e.g., Word, Excel).
- Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work.
- Ability to report work orally or in writing to supervisor as required.
- Effective writing and verbal communication skills.
Work Environment
- Works in standard office and school building environments.
Qualifications Profile
- Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.

29 hours per week, 177 days per year - Support Professional Employees Salary
