Learning Strategies Teacher
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, the classroom teacher will work with the Principal to offer a Learning Strategies class. We are looking for a candidate who can guide students in strengthening their problem-solving strategies, organization, and study habits to support their overall learning success. Experience with yearbook/publications is a plus.
Essential Functions:
- Foster creativity and critical thinking through hands-on projects.
- Maintain a safe and orderly teaching lab environment.
- Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed.
- Teach students effective study techniques, time management, and goal-setting skills.
- Provide targeted instruction to support diverse learning needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages academic growth.
Qualifications:
Certifications / License:
Bachelor's degree in education, technology, or a related field preferred. Applicants must have a current Utah teaching license or can obtain a current Utah teaching license as outlined by the guidelines of the Utah State Board of Education.
Experience:
Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate content area and grade level is preferred.

Part time, 187 day, paid over 12 months Certified Salary Schedule
