Under the general supervision of the School Principal, this classroom teacher will work with the Principal to offer a Learning Strategies class. The candidate will guide students in strengthening their problem‑solving strategies, organization, and study habits to support their overall learning success. Experience with yearbook or publications is a plus.

• Will foster creativity and critical thinking through hands‑on projects.
• Will maintain a safe and orderly teaching lab environment.
• Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student’s needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed.
• Teach students effective study techniques, time management, and goal‑setting skills.
• Provide targeted instruction to support diverse learning needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages academic growth.

Certifications / License: Bachelor’s degree in education, technology, or a related field preferred. Applicants must have a current Utah teaching license or can obtain one as outlined by the guidelines of the Utah State Board of Education.

Experience: Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate content area and grade level is preferred.

FLSA Status: Exempt

Contract: Part time, 187 days, paid over 12 months. Certified Salary Schedule.
