LIBRARY PROGRAMS SPECIALIST

Part-Time | 25 Hours per Week | $19.13/Hour

We offer Teen Time, Tween Club, Story Time, Haunted Historic Park and many others, plus community outreach events like Wizard Fest. As a member of our programs team, you will focus on experiences for tweens, teens, and adults with a variety of interests, abilities, and backgrounds.

• Carry out existing library programs and events.
• Propose and help implement creative new program ideas that align with the department mission.
• Plan experiences for tweens, teens, and adults with diverse interests and backgrounds.
• Represent the library to participants and communities in a welcoming, engaging manner.

The schedule is primarily morning to mid-day (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM) during the week, with frequent afternoon or evening shifts (3:00 – 8:00 PM) and occasional Saturdays. Scheduling may be adjusted based on program needs; flexibility in availability is essential.

Regular lifting, bending, climbing, walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods. Programs involve active participation with participants during events and activities.

Tooele City is a drug- and alcohol-free workplace. To be employed in a position that requires driving, you must possess and maintain a valid Utah State Driver License (or obtain prior to hire), 12 months of driving experience, and have a driving record acceptable to Tooele City's insurance and risk management standards.
