Duties
Provides ammunition/explosive expertise, ammunition handling safety expertise, and equipment fabrication or repair procedure input into the development of equipment for ordnance.
Conducts acceptance testing of pilot model equipment using live ammunition/explosives.
Writes technical reports, and Ammunition Operation SOPs for assigned equipment or projects.
Arranges for and provides input to Equipment Hazard Analysis preparation.
Assembles the Technical Data Package (TDP) for new equipment and coordinates equipment final approval through Headquarters, Joint Munitions Command (JMC).
Prepares training plans, coordinates training efforts, and trains operators in the safe, efficient use of APE.
