Job Title: Caregiver / CNA
Reports to: Resident Care Coordinator / Administrator / Nurse
Job Description: Responsible for the hands‑on delivery of care and assistance with activities of daily living for all residents. Provides care that meets or exceeds expectations.
Job Responsibilities- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, cooking, incontinence, cleaning, medication administration, laundry, and oral care.
- Maintain the dignity and privacy of all residents. Protect all residents' rights.
- Assist residents with personal needs as requested, while helping to maintain the resident's independence and well‑being.
- Document appropriately the services delivered to residents and any significant changes in condition.
- Report any concerns with the health and well‑being to the Resident Care Coordinator, Nurse, or Administrator.
- Maintain and protect the confidentiality of resident information at all times.
- Meet or exceed the standards of appearance; comply with the sanitation rules, hygiene, and health standards of community personnel.
- Ability to function independently.
- At times responsible for cooking, cleaning, and serving meals.
- Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor.
- Must possess a current Food Handler's Permit.
- Willingness to work with the elderly.
- Must possess a current certification for First Aid and CPR.
- Have the ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and associates.
- Level II Assisted Living caregivers must possess a current CNA license or obtain one within 4 months of hire.
- Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by the RCC, Nurse, or Administrator.
- Must have a recent TB test or obtain within two weeks of hire.
- Ability to read or write English and communicate effectively with residents, family members and staff.
- Ability to read and understand facility policies and comply with them while on job.
- They should at all times represent the epitome of SAL Management's "Super Caregiver".
Exposure to blood/bodily fluids is likely.
Physical RequirementsHas ability to do occasional heavy lifting of residents (up to 40 lbs.).
