General Purpose of the PositionThis role performs dimensional and visual inspections of parts, assemblies, and finished products to ensure they meet established specifications, while also supporting the processing of Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF). Responsibilities include checking in core DPF units, cleaning, testing, repairing, and preparing them for shipment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Handle parts throughout the core rec stage to maintain consistent production flow
- Performs basic dimensional and visual inspections of parts, assemblies, and finished products
- Uses a variety of measuring devices to verify compliance with specifications
- Requires completion of Magna Flux training and successful passage of the Magna Flux Eye Examination
- Prepares, maintains, and documents all required inspection records accurately
- Understands and complies with ISO
9001 requirements - Completes all required daily paperwork and maintains accurate updates on production boards
- Conducts 5S audits and completes assigned daily checklists
- Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and suggesting process enhancements
- Uses daily discomfort logs and reports any sickness, injury, or safety concern immediately—regardless of severity
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area through consistent housekeeping practices
- Demonstrates flexibility by moving to various work areas based on production demands
- Is available to work overtime, including weekends, as required by the production schedule
- Participates in team huddles, group projects, and one‑on‑one communications to support team alignment
- Follows all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment

High school diploma or GED - Years of
Experience:
0 - Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, including prompt reporting of near‑misses and incidents
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Proficient in gauging, measurement reading, and applied math skills
- Able to follow Control Plans, LWI's, SOP's, and SWI's
- Capable of obtaining and maintaining Lift Truck Certification
- Skilled in reading machining gauges and using small hand tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently or as part of a team
- Knowledge of machine tooling is preferred
- Lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 75 pounds with proper assistance, including the use of overhead cranes or approved lifting devices, following all safety procedures and team‑lifting protocols.
- Use hands continuously throughout the shift, including gripping, manipulating, and positioning tools or materials.
- Stand for prolonged periods (majority of the shift), including standing while working at benches or workstations.
- Perform frequent bending, twisting, and torso rotation throughout the shift, including reaching to lower levels, turning at the waist, and maintaining bent‑over positions as required by task demands.
