Pay Range: $24.25/hr – $27.00/hr
Location: Tooele, UT
Job Type: Full Time | Non-Exempt
Shift: Monday-Friday | 7:00am - 3:30pm

What You’ll DoAs a High‑Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Lab Technician at Curaleaf, you will play a key role in quality assurance and cannabinoid testing across Processing, Cultivation, and Research & Development. This is a highly hands‑on laboratory role focused on sample preparation, analytical testing, compliance, and maintaining quality standards throughout the production process.
- Prepare, test, and analyze daily samples using HPLC systems and other laboratory equipment
- Perform cannabinoid testing and quality control throughout multiple stages of production
- Calibrate, troubleshoot, maintain, and validate analytical systems and laboratory equipment
- Create dilutions, document results, and maintain accurate records in EBRs, Smart Sheets, and Excel
- Operate and support extraction and processing equipment as needed within the production environment
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, equipment, and inventory in alignment with cGMP standards and SOPs
- Partner with third‑party testing laboratories to support quality assurance and compliance efforts
- Ensure all laboratory operations, documentation, and waste handling remain compliant with company policies and state regulations
- 1–2 years of laboratory, manufacturing, QA/QC, or analytical testing experience
- Experience with HPLC and GC analysis, preferably using Agilent equipment and Chem Station software
- Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and analytical skills with the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail, record‑keeping, and mathematical proficiency for analyzing test results and maintaining compliance documentation
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures, compliance standards, and organic/inorganic chemistry principles
- Strong computer skills and experience working within laboratory systems, software, and documentation platforms
- High school diploma or GED required
- You hold an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a science‑related field
- You have cannabis industry experience or familiarity with cannabinoid testing and regulated production environments
- You have experience working within cGMP, SOP‑driven, or highly regulated laboratory settings
- This position has allergen warnings, potential exposure to dust, pollen, and plant pathogens, and requires daily use of provided PPE, such as masks, hair nets, beard covers, respirators, boot covers, scrubs, non‑slip shoes, and Tyvek suits as necessary, has exposure to loud noises, including but not limited to air compressors, packaging equipment, and alarms, has exposure to CO2 manufacturing procedures at OSHA approved CO2 levels, requires high‑stress tolerance, adaptability, and flexibility, as well as the ability to work in an ever‑changing environment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, use hands to finger or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb and balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs.
