Forklift Operator; TPO-Weekend Day shift

Location: Tooele, Utah

Shift: Thurs‑Sat 6:30 AM–7:00 PM, subject to change based on business need.

Job Summary: Forklift operators support the shipping department with the movement of material and products, including warehouse organization, finished goods inspection, picking product from the production line and putting it away, loading and unloading customer trucks. Standard work week 40 hours with occasional overtime, no travel required.

• Perform pre‑shift forklift inspection.
• Record preventative maintenance activities, quality inspection data, equipment downtime, production output and other key metrics.
• Safely operate a propane sit‑down forklift to move raw materials or finished products throughout the manufacturing floor, keeping production lines clear and properly storing product and raw materials.
• Visually inspect material for quality defects; segregate defective product and notify supervisor.
• Fill dumpsters from the production floor; housekeeping of plant (inside and out).
• Work as a team with production and shipping teams to follow all facility Standard Works/processes and improve operations.
• Support the recycling area when needed and help keep it organized.
• Fill in for other areas of the plant as required.
• Assist forklift operator II as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Highly motivated with a good, sound work ethic.
• Prior experience operating a propane sit‑down forklift or other mobile equipment (Powered Industrial Trucks).
• Demonstrate good working practices and great attention to detail.
• Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and processes.
• Good communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Basic computer, mathematics, and problem‑solving skills; ability to use a calculator.
• Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers).
• Team player able to follow instructions from both management and peers.
• Ability to learn and operate new equipment.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.

• Fast‑paced manufacturing environment with exposure to ambient/outside temperatures and dust, mechanical parts, pinch points, and increased noise levels.
• Hours worked: 8–10 hours per shift, varying by schedule and business volume.
• Flexible to overtime and weekend hours when required.
• Heavy, stationary machinery on the manufacturing floor.
• Use of radio, calculator, measuring devices, hand tools, and computer (Shop Floor and ERP).

Occasionally: 1–10 lbs lifting or carrying, 11–20 lbs, 21–40 lbs, 41–50 lbs, 51 or more lbs.

Frequently: 1–40 lbs pushing or pulling, 41–50 lbs, 51 or more lbs.

Continuously: bending or stooping, reaching above shoulder level, driving automatic equipment vehicles, operating machinery or power tools, climbing (ladders, stairs, etc.), walking, standing, sitting, working in extreme temperatures, repetitive motion (wrists, hands, or fingers), vision, hearing, dexterity, hand‑eye coordination.

• Eye and hearing protection required at all times on the production floor.
• Hi‑Vis vests.
• Other PPE as defined by management within the assigned department.
