Shift: Weekday Nights, Sunday-Wednesday, 6:30 PM-7:00 AM, subject to change based on business needs
Job Summary: Provide guidance and front-line coordination to a crew of 1-10 production workers and tend to machines designed to process materials according to exacting standards of work orders. Acts as point-of-contact for production area, ensures coworkers are trained and following standards, and communicates issues to Maintenance Technicians and Lead II/Production Supervisors/Managers. Standard work week 40 hours a week with occasional overtime, no travel required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assigns self-position and works on the line making production parts, documenting logs/reports, and/or data entry into work center computer interface.
- Conducts daily start up meeting.
- Assign operator I, II, III position within the work cell and rotate self and others as needed.
- Confer with Lead II and Production Supervisor on rotating people in/out of the area when there is low/high product complexity that will create idle time or overburden operators.
- Operate and perform basic troubleshooting of work cell machinery. Request assistance from maintenance, Lead II, or Production Supervisor as needed.
- Assign daily work orders to operators and community quality specification expectations at each change.
- Train and coach employees.
- Lead front line COS activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge / Skills/Abilities:
- 1-3 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Highly motivated with a good, sound work ethic.
- Must demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail.
- Ability to follow Carlisle Companies Incorporated policies, procedures, and processes.
- Ability to lead and assist various departments within the production area.
- Good communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers) and to safely use hand tools and have basic math skills including adding and subtracting fractions.
- Team player able to follow instructions from both management and peers.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks in fast-paced situations.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED is Preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- 1-3 years prior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Fast paced manufacturing environment where workers are exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures and dust; working with mechanical parts and pinch points; exposure to increased noise levels.
- Hours worked: 8-10 hours/shift, varies on shift schedule and business volume.
- Flexible to the possibility of overtime and weekend hours when required.
- Heavy, stationary machinery on manufacturing floor.
- Radio, Calculator, Measuring Devices.
- Hand tools.
- Computer (Shop Floor and ERP).

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Used:
- Eye and hearing protection is required at all times on the production floor.
- Hi-Vis Vests.
- Other PPE as defined by management within assigned department.
