Help
Perform complex, depot-level overhauls and rebuilds on diesel-electric locomotives, GEN-SET engines, and propulsion/braking systems to ensure operational readiness.
Diagnose and troubleshoot intricate mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical system malfunctions under challenging field and shop conditions.
Utilize specialized electronic diagnostic equipment, load boxes, and precision measuring instruments to calibrate gages and conduct road/load testing.
Interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and complex electrical wiring diagrams to plan layouts and execute repairs on prototype or modified equipment.
Rebuild highly complex assemblies, including intricate fuel-injection systems, and fabricate specialized replacement parts when standard spares are unavailable.
Service, maintain, and repair auxiliary support equipment, including heavy rail cranes, hopper cars, Maintenance of Way (MOW) equipment, and power generators.
Improvise repair techniques and safe technical solutions when dealing with non-standard machinery or when standard manufacturer manuals do not suffice.
