Position Overview

Semi‑Local CDL‑A position hauling metal roofing and siding on flatbed curtain side trailers across UT, CO, CA, , WY, OR, MT, and AZ. Assigned automatic sleeper trucks (Peterbilt, Freightliner, International) remain at the account for home time.

Compensation

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,673
• Average Annual Pay: $87,000+
• CPM Range: $0.59–$0.63
• Annual CPM Increases: +$0.01 until max
• Miles/Week:~2,350
• Average Stops/Week: 4
• Paid Holidays: 6

Schedule & Home Time

• Days:Monday–Saturday
• Start Times: 6:0 AM–10:0 AM
• Home Time: Weekly 34‑hour reset
• Layovers:2–3 per week
• Peak Season: Summer months

Freight & Equipment

• Freight Type: Metal roofing & siding
• Trailer Type: Flatbed curtain side
• Load Handling:
• Shipper live‑loads
• Receiver live‑unloads
• Driver straps all loads
• Driver operates curtain side system
• Occasional customer‑provided Moffett forklift use

Driver Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum Experience: 3+ months
• Must meet DOT hiring criteria
• Must be proficient with curtain side trailers
• Must be willing to chain in winter conditions
• Must be comfortable with mountain routes
• Flatbed experience preferred
• Must assist other DCS/JBI accounts as needed
