Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

Overview

Fast‑growth manufacturer hiring a seasoned accounting leader to join their team. The Controller is responsible for overseeing the organization’s accounting operations and ensuring accurate, compliant financial reporting. This role plays a key part in managing the close process, maintaining financial integrity, and supporting strategic decision‑making. The Controller will lead and develop accounting staff while partnering with leadership on budgeting and financial planning initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA (or similar certification) is preferred
• 5–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
• Strong cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Tax services experience is strongly preferred
• Experience with inventory accounting and ERP systems (Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Proven ability to lead month‑end close and financial reporting processes
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills

• Hands‑on leader who can balance strategic insight with day‑to‑day execution
• Deep understanding of GAAP
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
• Strong business partner who can collaborate with operations and executive leadership
• Process improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and accuracy
