The Kansas Judicial Branch seeks a proactive, solution-oriented training and event coordinator to join the education team. Operating within a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment, the ideal candidate will serve as logistics expert, overseeing the organization and execution of comprehensive educational programs.
Responsibilities- Coordinate most aspects of training and events, including researching/booking venues, managing vendor relationships (caterers, audio/visual), and preparing event materials
- Manage attendee lists, RSVPs, and internal/external communication to promote training and events
- Oversee setup, breakdown, and operations of in-person events to ensure a smooth experience for participants
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other virtual training platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
- Analyze training and event effectiveness by collecting feedback and preparing reports for management to determine return on investment and future improvements
- Assist in tracking and managing budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, education, business, or hospitality, or 3+ years of relevant experience.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Must have the ability to travel regularly with some overnight stays.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and priorities simultaneously and with outstanding attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal skills for engaging with vendors, judges, and staff.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to handle pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
