Position Overview
This position will be responsible for representing OAPI with Regional Payers, interacting with all assigned payer channels and customers to attain and maintain profitable access for OAPI brands. The role represents the entire Otsuka portfolio of products in the prioritized accounts (typically 15‑20 accounts) within the assigned geography. The position will report to the Director of Market Access Regional Accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Articulate compelling unbranded and branded messaging within PI labeling including Brand Value Propositions, approved clinical information, and approved Health Economic Data and Models.
- Engage customers by providing expertise in relevant Therapeutic Areas and insights on trends, market conditions, and formulary/medical policy changes.
- Leverage and champion core market access resources and sales‑planning tools.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of the Contract Request Form to Finance (P&C).
- Enable interactions with MML/HEOR/Marketing teams to develop patient‑centric solutions and unique MML engagements.
- Support National Account team to develop and communicate pull‑through initiatives that drive contract performance in collaboration with the Customer Engagement Team and Senior Business Director.
- Coordinate regional pull/push through initiatives; each RAE geography accounts for 5‑15% of total net product sales across the Otsuka portfolio.
- Collaborate with matrixed function leaders to optimize business performance and manage complex risks.
- Engage with Otsuka Government Affairs and Advocacy to execute opportunities and address threats in the area of responsibility.
- Develop and execute Regional Matrix Business Plans with cross‑functional leaders (Customer Engagement, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access & Patient Support).
- Develop Regional Market Access strategy to build deeper relationships within priority accounts.
- Review and correct formulary information monthly via MMIT data.
- Conduct all activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies.
- Lead market shaping for disease‑state interest and future launch products at prioritized accounts.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years of demonstrated success in account management or B2B experience.
- Exceptional track record in business‑to‑business negotiations.
- Consistent record of meeting or exceeding quantitative and qualitative targets.
- Ability to work effectively within cross‑functional teams in a rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent written, organizational and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Access, Excel).
- MBA degree.
- Experience in a leadership or people‑management role.

Minimum $ – Maximum $, plus incentive opportunity. The range represents a typical pay range for individuals hired in the role to perform in the United States. Pay will be positioned within the established range.
