ThispositionisdesignedtodevelopacomprehensiveunderstandingofBRB’sprojectcoordinationprocessesbyworkingcloselywithanexperienced
Project
Coordinator,Project Managers,field personnel,andotherinternaldepartments.
Duringtheinitialtraininganddevelopmentperiod,anticipatedtolastapproximatelyoneyear,the Project Coordinatorwillworkalongsidetheexisting Project Coordinatortolearnandassistwithallphasesofprojectcoordination .Responsibilitieswillprogressivelyincreaseasknowledge,proficiency,andindependencearedemonstrated.
Followingsuccessfulcompletionofthetrainingperiod,the Project
Coordinatorwillassumeprimaryresponsibilityforassignedprojectsandmanageprojectcoordinationactivitiesthroughouttheentireprojectlifecycle.
Ratherthanspecializingexclusivelyinplantorlineprojects,Project Coordinatorswillsupportacombinationofprojecttypes.
Thisstructureprovidesbroaderoperationalknowledge,promotesbalancedworkloads,strengthensconsistencyandaccountability,andallowseach

CoordinatortoworkcollaborativelywithBRB’sProject
Managers.
Training&Development Phase
Duringtheinitialtrainingperiod,the Project
Coordinator will:
- Workcloselywiththeexperienced Project Coordinatortolearn BRB’sprojectcoordinationprocessesandprocedures.
- Assistwithprojectsfrominitialsetupthroughfinalcloseout.
- Learntheadministrativerequirementsassociatedwithbothplantandlineconstructionprojects.
- Developworkingrelationshipswith Project Managers ,Superintendents,field personnel,subcontractors,vendors,owners,andotherprojectstakeholdersasapplicable.
- Assistwithprojectdocumentation,tracking,communication,andadministrativerequirements.
- Graduallyassumeresponsibilityforindividualprojectcoordinationfunctionsasproficiencyisdemonstrated.
- Developtheknowledgeandorganizationalskillsnecessarytoindependentlycoordinateassignedprojects.
Onceadequatelytrained,the Project
Coordinator will:
- Beassignedprojectsforwhichtheyserveastheprimary Project Coordinator .
- Coordinateadministrativerequirementsthroughouttheentirelifecycleofassignedprojects.
- Supportbothplantandlineconstructionprojectsratherthanbeinglimitedtoasingleprojecttype.
- Workdirectlywithmultiple Project Managersandprojectteams .
- Maintainprojectdocumentation,deadlines,records,andrequiredadministrativeprocesses.
- Coordinatewiththeother Project Coordinatortobalanceworkloadsandmaintainconsistencyacrossprojects .
- Serveasanadditionallevelofreviewandaccountabilityforproject-relateddocumentationandadministrativeprocesses.
Thegoalofthispositionistodeveloptwofullyfunctioning Project Coordinatorswhoareeachcapableofindependentlymanagingthecoordinationresponsibilitiesfortheirassignedprojectsfrombeginningtocompletion .
Projectswillbedividedbetweenthe Project Coordinatorsbasedonworkload ,project needs,andavailablecapacityratherthanpermanentlydividingresponsibilitiesbetweenplantandlinework.
Both Project Coordinatorsshouldultimatelypossesstheknowledgeandexperiencenecessarytosupporteithertypeofconstructionproject .
