Responsibilities
- Audit existing designs, then build and document a new component library in Figma.
- Establish naming conventions and component structures that map cleanly between Figma and React/Tailwind.
- Set up and validate AI workflows (Figma Make, Figma MCP servers, Claude Code, etc.) that can leverage the design system.
- Participate in agile team ceremonies and document your progress in Asana.
- Lead cross‑functional workshops to align UX and engineering on standards.
- Create contribution guidelines to enable federated design system ownership.
- At least one portfolio case study of a design system you've built or significantly contributed to.
- Fluency with Figma variables, auto‑layout, component architecture, dev mode, plug‑ins, etc.
- Experience with front‑end implementation patterns in React & Tailwind.
- Confidence in driving alignment between design and engineering teams.
- A clear, proactive communication style: you surface issues early and document decisions thoroughly.
- Familiarity with Storybook or similar tools.
- Ability to identify and diagnose code issues in UI implementation (e.g. styling, responsive layouts, state management, animation).
- Experience with AI‑assisted design and development workflows.
- Background in finance, healthcare, or other heavily regulated industries.
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
