Seaman USD #345 has an opening for full-time substitute teachers. Candidates must have either a Kansas Teaching License or a Kansas Standard Substitute License. Candidates will carry out instructions for classes that have been assigned by teachers during their absence. This position substitutes each day, with the assignment varying each day. It is a full-time position that would be benefit and KPERS eligible.

Substitute teachers will be paid at the rate of a first-year teacher in column one of the negotiated agreement. The substitute will have an assignment each day and participate in professional development and have a contract for 186 days.

Hours for substituting will vary:

• Elementary – approximately 8:30 a.m. – 4:15 p.m.
• Secondary – approximately 7:35 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
