Immediate Supervisor
Director of Special Education K-12
Applicant needs to be a self-starter and a hard worker.
Duty DateJune 2-July 2 8:00 am
-1:30 pm (June 2 & 3 are prep days, July 2 PM is a prep day)
- Bachelor’s degree in education with appropriate Kansas licensure in Special Education or be interested in becoming certified/licensed to teach special education students in the State of Kansas on a waiver.
- Experience with Number Worlds, Reading Mastery, and/or Corrective Reading preferred.
- Experience in a structured teaching classroom preferred, but not required.
- Lead small group instruction, under teacher supervision
- Provide student assistance with such activities as dressing, eating, drinking, and toileting
- Ability to collect and record data to be used as evidence in educational decisions
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, good organizational skills
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with staff and students
- Clerical functions
- Other duties as assigned
Selected candidates will be paid at their hourly rate received during the school year.
EvaluationPerformance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the board policy on evaluation of Support Service Personnel.
