Applications Trainer
The applications trainer will be responsible for providing training courses to customers and employees who are undergoing a product installation/conversion, as well as those who request continuing education. In this role you would act as a continuous resource for institutions throughout their learning journey. Training courses and workshops are conducted either at a customer's location, via internet‑based or other eLearning means, or at a Jack Henry location.
This position offers remote flexibility within a 70‑mile radius of any of our office locations in Allen, TX;
Birmingham, AL;
Cedar Falls, IA;
Charlotte, NC;
Lenexa, KS;
Louisville, KY;
Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO.
The salary range for this position is $50,000 – $70,000 per year and will be determined based on location and experience level.
All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in‑person onboarding requirement to verify identity.
Responsibilities- Deliver software and service training courses or workshops.
- Create and customize curriculum and procedures for each customer situation, and consult with the customer for appropriate customization.
- Prepare selected training materials and environment for use during live and web‑based training sessions.
- Test and maintain software for training purposes.
- Provide customer follow‑up during training and act as a knowledge contact for customers during the project.
- Make changes to curriculum based on customer feedback and needs assessment. Assess the quality of training formats and/or procedures.
- Seek increased knowledge of features and functions of products and services, current training techniques and practices, product changes, upgrades, and industry trends.
- Prioritize tasks and document problems.
- Participate in user conferences (optional).
- Support, train, and assist less experienced peers.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
- 4 years of experience in software applications training or in the banking/payments industry.
- Ability to travel 35% of the time.
- Associate's degree preferred.
- Training certification preferred.
- Wide range of experience and ability to resolve complex issues, work on complex and diverse projects, and exercise good judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining solutions.
- Excellent knowledge of the financial industry.
- Excellent knowledge of Jack Henry products.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, digital‑based training tools, and a tutorial building software.
- Ability to design and deliver software applications training.
- Ability to meet aggressive deadlines.
- Strong communication, customer interaction, project management, and public speaking skills.
