The University of Kansas seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor in Algebra and/or Combinatorics in the Department of Mathematics, beginning August 18, 2026
. This is a non‑tenure‑track, limited‑term, full‑time appointment for three consecutive academic years, ending May 16, 2029
. The appointment is suitable for a Ph.D., ABD, or terminal degree holder who is eligible to work in the United States.

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses (up to six credit hours per semester).
• Prepare lessons, assignments, and assessments.
• Maintain at least three office hours per week across two or more days.
• Adhere to departmental, college, and university policies.
• Conduct research in algebra and/or combinatorics, leading to publication and a sustained active research program.
• Engage in departmental and professional service, including participation in professional activities such as panels, workshops, and journal reviews.

• Ph.D. or ABD in Mathematics by August 18, 2026.
• Research expertise in algebra and/or combinatorics.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence.
• Demonstrated commitment to research excellence.
