Assistant Director

Learning Care is growing our presence in the Topeka community, and we’re looking for an Assistant Director who is ready to grow with us.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Lead Teacher or Mentor Teacher who loves developing others and is ready to move into a formal leadership role. Previous Assistant Director experience is not required—we’re looking for a strong foundation in early childhood education, demonstrated leadership, and someone excited to continue learning.

• Coach, mentor, and support teachers while modeling high-quality classroom practices
• Partner with the Center Director to maintain quality, licensing, ratios, and daily operations
• Spend time throughout the school supporting classrooms and ensuring expectations are consistently met
• Help build a positive, accountable culture for teachers, children, and families
• Grow your experience with scheduling, tours, enrollment, and other center operations
• Step into classrooms and support ratios as needed

• CDA or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Early childhood classroom experience, preferably as a Lead or Mentor Teacher
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting other educators
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Flexibility to rotate opening and closing responsibilities and support the needs of the school Why Learning Care?
