Key Responsibilities Observe individual children and develop differentiated lesson plans based on their strengths, needs, learning styles, and interests
Implement comprehensive curriculum activities supporting literacy, numeracy, science, social studies, and creative development
Create a classroom community that fosters independence, critical thinking, and love of learning
Guide behavior and social skills development toward school readiness
Create a stimulating, well-organized learning environment with accessible materials and learning centers
Facilitate group discussions, projects, and collaborative learning experiences
Assess children's progress and communicate regularly with parents about academic and social-emotional development
Create daily reports for each child including photos/videos documenting learning and growth
Supervise and mentor assistant teachers; model best practices
Ensure compliance with all KDHE licensing regulations and NECPA standards

Required Qualifications Must meet or exceed all KDHE and NECPA requirements for preschool lead teacher
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred;
Associate's degree with significant preschool experience considered
Minimum 3+ years of experience in a Pre-K or preschool classroom setting
Deep understanding of 4-5 year old development and school readiness
Ability to design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum
Strong assessment and observation skills to identify learning needs and celebrate growth
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Current First Aid and CPR certification required
