Overview

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all engineering aspects of assigned projects—from concept through completion. On larger or more complex projects, you may lead and mentor other engineers. This role is well suited for an engineer who enjoys ownership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering complete, accurate, and buildable designs.

Responsibilities
  • Participate as a core member of cross-functional project teams including Project Management, Purchasing, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Field Operations.
  • Own and manage all engineering-related activities on assigned projects, including:
    • Develop, review, and evaluate conveyor and material handling system designs.
    • Interface directly with customers, vendors, and suppliers to review requirements and resolve technical questions.
    • Perform engineering design evaluations and execute project work under the direction of the Project Engineering Lead.
    • Review customer specifications and ensure designs adhere to all contractual and technical requirements.
    • Provide technical support throughout the engineering, fabrication, and installation phases.
    • Produce system and detailed design drawings using AutoCAD and/or other approved drafting tools.
    • Review drawings produced by others for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD & working knowledge of Inventor or similar 3D CAD tools.
  • Familiarity with standard engineering concepts, practices, and procedures—preferably within the material handling or conveyor industry.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting project schedules and delivery expectations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply creativity and sound judgment.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating work with other engineers is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality.
