Position Description
Local Road Engineer
This employee is a primary reviewer of design plans on a variety of road and street improvement projects developed by Local Public Authorities (LPAs) and their consultants. The employee is responsible for reviewing these plans for compliance with federal and state regulations and accepted engineering practices. The employee coordinates the development of these projects with local officials and their consultants to meet assigned schedules and maximize federal and state dollars available.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing design plans for regulatory compliance
- Coordinating project development with local officials and consultants
- Managing project schedules and funding
