In this role, you’ll advise on indirect tax regulatory changes, design efficient strategies, and ensure compliance while identifying tax optimization opportunities. Key tasks will include:

  • Translating regulatory changes into effective compliance and reporting solutions.
  • Developing operational models throughout the indirect tax lifecycle.
  • Leading initiatives focused on optimization, recovery, and exposure reduction.

You will oversee project delivery and status tracking while engaging with clients to uncover additional service opportunities. You will also:

  • Design solutions for complex tax problems by selecting appropriate methods and criteria.
  • Recommend policy changes and formalize procedures within your area.

  • Analyze a diverse portfolio of tax operations to extract meaningful insights.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Stay informed on market trends to maintain your credibility as a trusted advisor.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and use tax processes and concepts.
  • A CPA, state bar membership, or relevant certification (e.g., CMI designation).
  • Experience managing budgets, teams, and projects.
  • A proven track record in a professional tax organization.
  • Technical writing and research experience in tax contexts.
  • The ability to effectively prioritize multiple complex projects.
  • Strong influencing skills and confidence to question existing processes.
  • Willingness to travel as needed while working in a balanced hybrid environment.
  • Knowledge of tax legislation and impact assessment.
  • Experience with indirect tax refund and recovery reviews.
  • Tax planning and optimization skills.
  • Familiarity with audit quality and remediation techniques.
  • A global mindset.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
  • Experience leading work streams from planning to execution.
  • Involvement in RFP responses and driving sales growth.
  • Practical management skills in engagement economics and resource planning.
