Skills and Abilities

* Ability to read a limited number of two- and three- syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
* Able to do repetitive motions.
* Understands and shows respect for patient’s rights, including confidentiality of patient information.
* Adheres to all Stormont Vail polices and procedures. Follows dress code and attendance policies.

What you will do
* Performs daily cleaning of patient rooms, offices, restrooms, shared spaces, and/or floors. This may include cleaning isolation rooms.
* Cleans and maintains equipment.
* Handles hazardous waste properly.
* Handles, stores, and dilutes chemicals as necessary.
* Performs area/room set up and dismantling.

Travel Requirements
* 20% Delivery and pick-up; dependent upon department need.
