As Chief Architect, you will shape the vision and lead the development of OCI’s next-generation cloud service platform. You will collaborate with senior leadership to design and deliver scalable, reliable, and secure systems that redefine the cloud experience. In this role, you will lead experimentation and prototyping efforts, translating visionary ideas into practical solutions, and influencing technical direction across multiple teams.
Your work will impact the daily workflows of developers, operators, and cloud customers alike.
The ideal candidate is both visionary and hands‑on, skilled at balancing speed and quality to drive innovation without sacrificing reliability. You have a proven track record architecting and delivering greenfield cloud services at scale, mentoring senior engineers, and thriving in ambiguous environments. You bring clarity and direction to complex technical challenges and have demonstrated experience influencing executive leadership and driving both engineering and product strategy.
Basic Qualifications:
15+ years of experience launching large-scale services
Proven track record of delivering successful V1 projects at scale
Strong understanding of cloud services
Demonstrated ability to set technical and product vision, influence across multiple teams, and build consensus with senior leadership and executives
Excellent executive‑level written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in Java and RESTful API development
Experience with low‑level cloud infrastructure and systems
Experience building developer tools such as CI/CD pipelines

Hiring Range in USD from: $161,700 to $338,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non‑overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits.
